Map and Viewers' Guides

Story is the land where young children eat, live and breathe. It comes naturally to their brains, and when adults improve their abiility to see, think and talk about stories with young children, they improve everyone's ability to teach and learn.

The Language of Story and Play, our online video catalog, is designed to help teachers move into the Land of Story. First we give you a map to help you find your way. (To see the map, visit our sample clip page.)

The map leads subscribers through 10 series.  The series are:
   1 Language and Stories Begin
2 Stories and Play: Tools of Learning
   3 Extending Story and Play
   4 Narrative Development 101
   5 Enter Vivian Paley
6 Practicing Storytelling and Story Acting (STSA)
   7 Enter Professional Storytellers
   8 Adding Tips from Professionals
   9 STSA & Beyond
 10 Enter Process Drama

Along with the Series map, your subscription also includes downloadable viewer's guides. Click here to see the guide for Series 1, Language and Stories Begin. As you move through each of the series, you will be adding new locations and ideas to the map.
