Order Form

Music is an important part of the early childhood curriculum. Music can be used to calm children or to get them moving. It can be used to ease transitions, to help children think creatively, or to lengthen their attention spans.

Music Appreciation

There are many kinds of music and instruments and many ways for teachers to use music throughout the day. Adults who listen to and observe children's reactions to music can find ways to include children's ideas and interests when planning activities.

Participation/Exploration/Production

Throughout the early childhood years, children are learning to do new things with their bodies.
They will sing and dance along to songs or radio or television commercials. Children enjoy activities that have rhythm and repetition. Adults can help children make up songs using their own words and provide opportunities for children to experiment with music.

Analysis

Children enjoy playing all kinds of instruments. By trying to solve problems in movement and music, they develop creativity and imagination.
